Going from a country music video director to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for HotOn! Homes (HOtOn!) may seem disjointed; but, convincing country legends like Alabama, The Gatlin Brothers, and Kenny Chesney to hire me as their video music director required the best of my sales and marketing skills.
As Senior VP Business Development at HotOn! Homes, my trifurcated role includes internal and external responsibilities in sales, marketing and broadcast production.
Within the HotOn! Homes team, I hire, develop, evaluate, and lead the HotOn! sales force. We have built a sales training program (HotOn! Youniversity) that equips our staff with the tools they need to to succeed. We follow a metrics-driven sales process that tracks performance and accountability. Also, I oversee the production team’s development of our weekly, Hot On! Homes TV program that is broadcast in five cities. Our unique approach to Direct Response TV (DRTV) has positioned Hot On! as the most successful Home Builder Advertising TV show in history.
Outside the walls of Hot On!, I evangelize our brand to builders and sales teams. Our business-to-business (B2B) strategy involves client performance updates, builder sales team best-practice presentations, weekly reports, events, and aggressive email campaigns.
Downturns are tricky. Successful companies reinvent themselves to respond to ever-changing market demands. HotOn! decided to emerge as the leader when the residential market plummeted. We imposed cost efficiency savings and flexible production processes then streamlined our systems. We now produce versatile broadcast content without sacrificing delivery time or quality.
